PC / Notebook Upgrade Appraisals

For a fixed cost of £25 or £10 with any other service, you can receive an upgrade appraisal on your PC or Laptop.

The Upgrade Appraisal Service will thoroughly test and check your machine for upgrade options and give you an itemised report of the current specifications, maximum support specifications, and recommended upgrades for your machine.

Your detailed report will include options for the following:

  • Memory Upgrades
  • Hard Drive Upgrades
  • CPU (Processor) Upgrades
  • Motherboard Upgrades if applicable
  • Graphics Card Upgrades
  • USB / Firewire connectivity Upgrades
  • Sound Card Upgrades
  • Video Capture / TV Tuner Card Upgrades
  • Optical Drive Upgrades
  • Removable Drive Upgrades

If you choose to order an upgrade from me on the advice of your Upgrade Appraisal Report then you will receive a credit to value of the amount paid for this Appraisal Service which can be used against the purchase of your upgrade and/or labour charges.  Credits cannot be used for any other service. Credit will not be given if this service is purchased with a special offer or promotion.

Contracted Support Agreements

At any one time I have capacity for five customers to hold Contracted Support Agreements.  A Support Agreement is an annual contract, allowing you access to telephone support and on-site support if required as well as scheduled site visits during that year to help maintain your IT systems. The features of my pre-built support contract are listed below but if you would like a different level of service then please contact me by email or telephone to discuss your detailed requirements, I am very happy to discuss ad-hoc packages to perfectly meet your needs.

Contracted Support Agreements are annual contracts, charged monthly in advance.  When you become a Contract Holder I will provide you with a fully information pack with details of how to contact me for support and emergency contact numbers.  You will received stickers for every Machine Covered by the support contract to help make it easier to log a support call and to provide your staff with contract details.

From early February I will have space for two additional Contracted Support Agreements with visit days on Monday afternoons and Tuesday mornings. Please contact me for more details

Silver Systems Support Agreements include:

  • Initial Systems Health-Check and security audit

  • Help in creating a Disaster-Prevention strategy

  • Unlimited Telephone Support during office hours

  • Priority response for chargeable On-Site support

  • Disaster recovery assistance

  • Access to advice on system upgrades and development

Gold Systems Support Agreements include:

  • Initial Systems Health-Check and security audit

  • Help in creating a Disaster-Prevention strategy

  • Unlimited 24 Hour Telephone Support

  • Free Escalation to an on-site visit if the issue cannot be resolved by phone

  • Free site visits to perform system maintenance and security/health checks

  • Disaster recovery assistance

  • Access to advice on system upgrades and development

  • Up to 50% Discount on other services such as installation or upgrade work.

Support contracts do not include hardware failure warranty or insurance cover on equipment, but reasonable assistance will be offered to help in these circumstances.  If machines are not under manufacturer's warranty then assistance can be provided to obtain repair parts or replacements.  Unlimited access to support is subject to an acceptable use policy.  Please contact me for a  full list of terms and conditions.
