My Website Hosting package prices below include the relevant web hosting services and one year’s domain registration. Remember to factor this into your equations if you are comparing my prices to another supplier. I know that my prices are the best value anywhere on the web, so if you see a cheaper price then please let me know and I’ll try my best to match or beat it.

All the prices below are based on the domain registration of a .uk domain (such as .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .ltd.uk, .plc.uk, etc, or just .uk if you prefer) if you would like an international domain (such as .net, .com, .org, .info, .eu, .biz, .name, etc) then please just add £10 to the fee below. I can also register or host .tv, .co, .mobi and .xxx domains but please get in touch for prices as the cost price varies frequently.

Flat-File Websites

The majority of sites are classed as flat-file websites which means they are made up of html files grouped together with hyperlinks between them. A flat-file has all of the data and content stored as normal files, a bit like how files are stored on your home computer.

I can support the following Scripts and Services with no additional charge : ASP, PHP, Perl, compiled CGI, ISAPI and SHTML scripting, and FrontPage Extensions on our Windows Server Cluster or Perl CGI and Python CGI scripts, plus SSH on our Linux Server Cluster. Email accounts have full POP3 connectivity and a Webmail Client included Free at webmail.. Also includes is: Customisable Error Pages, free temporary sub-domain access to your hosting so you can get your site working straight away, free catch-all (undeliverable handling) email address if required, free email auto-replies.

CMS (Content Management System) Websites

Content Management Systems are the best way to maintain a fresh and up-to-date website. With a Content Managed Site you can login to your own custom control panel and make changes to your site’s pages, such as add special offers or change prices, and you can make these changes whenever you want, as many times as you want, for free, as easy as updating your Facebook page. This is ideal for any small business owner who want to make regular updates to their site with the cost of employing a Web Designer each time.

Ideal if you want to do it all yourself: 1 Year Domain Registration, Unlimited Media Storage for Images or Videos or Download content etc, 10Gb Bandwidth per month, 20 Standard Email Accounts, 10mb Space on Shared MYSQL server (Enough for the largest of websites), includes initial set-up to a blank database.

Pseudomains (or ‘alias’ domain) £11.00

Includes 1 Year Domain Registration, Links to any other domain hosted by AlFindlay.com. This can be useful to protect other domains that may be relevant to you, or just to give you another advertising channel. For instance, swanseabrickwork.co.uk might have a full CMS site running, but swanseabuilders.co.uk could be a Psudomain to that same site and show the same content for just £11. So could swanseagroundworks.co.uk, so could swanseahomeimprovement.co.uk, all pointing to the same website.

BabySitting (or registration only) £9.00

Includes 1 Year Domain Registration, your domain remains parked and protected for future use. This is useful to protect your business name, product name or trademark while you dedice what to put on your site.

Notes

I am not currently VAT registered, so there is no VAT to pay on these prices. I do not normally charge a fee for administering your domains, but if the time required to administer your domains becomes excessive (eg, us chasing you for over payments, etc) then I reserve the right to charge a £25 per year administration fee to your account. Overdue accounts will be sent a reminder on the due date, and 7 days later will be subject to a 25% overdue invoice fee and interest at normal B2B rates.

Thanks for visiting! Here is a little bit about me and my relationship with the IT world:

I have worked in the IT industry for over 15 years and gained most of my experience with the IT Education giant 'Research Machines' where I worked for ten years. My final role at RM was 'Principle Development Consultant' which exposed me to projects involving almost all Microsoft Back-End products; Exchange, SharePoint, DataCentre Server, etc. I have worked on many prestigious projects during my time at RM including the Multi-Location Active Directory Implementation project - 'Classroom 2000'; (at the time) the largest AD in the country, spanning every School, College and Library in Northern Ireland.

In my duties at RM I operated mainly as a Trainer and Mentor and was responsible for the authoring of many Training Courses, for Customers and Engineers both inside the company and with several Local Education Authorities across the UK. I pioneered the importance of 'Foundation Knowledge' within the Engineering Teams and developed, authored and delivered the well received 'Fundamentals of Modern Networking and Network Troubleshooting' training course.

I now live in the South West of England with my Partner and Young Family and have been working on freelance and contract projects in the South West for the past five years.

I have recently worked on projects including: Small Business Implementations of client/server solutions, Cisco IP Phones in local and SIP configurations, WebServer installations, Business Router reconfigurations including Layer 4 Switch configurations, Microsoft Exchange Installations and Upgrades, Active Directory Migrations and Upgrades, File Server Upgrades, Disaster Recovery Support including system rebuilds from partial datasets, and of course numerous domestic projects to support Home ADSL Migrations, and Support with new SOHO computer systems and accessories.

I have been involved in the Club DJ Scene in Exeter for many years and also assist with mobile events by providing event production service to several leading events across the South West. My experience in this area allows me to specialise in supporting DJ/Nightclub IT systems including DJ Music, Video and Lighting control systems; in particular Virtual DJ/Numark Cue, Traktor, OTS, PCDJ, Serato, MixMeister, Martin LightJockey and ShowControl.
