These refurbished laptops are perfect for consumers who need an upgrade but without the high price tag of buying new. All machines supplied freshly serviced and stress tested with 3 month warranty. As with all second-hand laptops, batteries should be considered as a bonus; there may be a battery present and it may work, but as batteries are considered to be consumable parts with 1000 charge cycle or 2 year life, we recommend you buy a new battery if you need portable use.   By request and at additional cost these machines can be upgraded with additional RAM, Solid State Drives or other upgraded components. Additional labour can be purchased to transfer data from your old computer.

Most of our refurbished computers are Intel i3 or i5 processors and upwards to give you the best user experience. These computers all run Windows 11 and machines with 8th gen processors and above are fully supported on Windows 11.  Machines with 7th Gen or older CPUs may need additional help to run Windows 11 feature updates in the future but will be stable on the current release version.

The fitted SSD drives can be exchanged for larger drives: Upgrade options available but prices are variable depending on current market prices so ask for a quote.

Additional labour can be purchased to transfer data from your old computer.

Monitors

If bought with a PC as a kit these will be supplied with a generic keyboard and mouse set and a suitable video cable.

We don’t often stock new computers (although there may be the odd one or two in the list above) but do we keep an eye on the market and can tell you where the best deals are.  If you’re looking for a new machine then please get in touch and we’ll give you advice to help you purchase the perfect machine.  We recommend you buy a machine direct, in your name, so the warranty is also in your name, but if you’re really not comfortable making a purchase yourself then in some circumstances we’ll arrange this for you.

Our general advice is to go for a minimum i3 processor, ideally an i5. Absolutely not AMD or Celeron/Atom processors.  8gb ram as minimum but 16gb will perform faster.  We can fit and upgrade SSD drives in the workshop as this can make a new purchase cheaper too. HP and Lenovo make good machines, also Acer and Asus.  Avoid dell, zoostorm, medion, punch and other supermarket brands than can have poor service life and are difficult to get parts for.
